THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE PURCHASING RUG

New rugs shed wool for 1 to 1.5 months, Vacuuming on a regular basis will eliminate them without hurting the carpet. To completely clean the rug, use a vacuum cleaner at least twice a week. Make sure the dust bag is empty and the brushes are clean.

Rugs must be well-maintained and cleaned on a regular basis. If they are ignored, their quality will deteriorate over time, and they will quickly lose their attraction.

CARE AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

To clean the carpets, avoid using any abrasive brushes. Instead, vacuum on a regular basis to keep dust and crumbs from accumulating into the pile's roots.

To even out wear, rotate the carpet every now and again.

Remove the spill as soon as possible. Blot the spill with a clean, unbleached cloth, pressing firmly around it to absorb as much as possible.

If the carpet becomes damp, expose it to the sun for a while.

Professional rug cleaning is recommended for difficult-to-remove stains on hand-knotted carpets. Check out Professional Cleaning page.

Shedding is a normal part of the new rug's life cycle. It will fade away over the course of one to two months.

An isolated strand may break loose from time to time; do not pull on this strand as this will compromise the rug's integrity.

Always exercise caution when using a powerful vacuum. Stick to a milder setting if you don't want the wool fibres to start shedding.

KEEP YOUR RUGS SPRAKLY CLEAN!!
